Scroll infinitely close to infinity.

Asymptote is a minimal website as art piece. When rendered, the whitespace itself creates the interactive (scrollable) area by always having a vertical length slightly greater than the containing window. The viewer’s drag of the scrollbar increases the length of this negative space according to a hyperbolic arc that forever approaches infinity—failing to reach it. While the viewer may scroll infinitely closer to the bottom they will never arrive.

Tested for OS X in the latest versions of Safari, Chrome, Opera, and Firefox. Warning: Your browser may crash as you approach the asymptote.

Released December 2006.
