Graphics Design

Stewdio-graphicsdesign--0540

An intervention concerning the room label outside the Paul Rand Memorial Design Studio at Yale University.

A previous intervention by a third party consisted of replacing the words “Graphic Design” with the words “Commercial Art” — an offensive and nonsensical term. The new label was eventually discovered and removed. A new action was required. By replacing the proper label “Graphic Design” with the subtly altered “Graphics Design” an anonymous group was able to leave their mark on the front entrance of the studio for a longer period without detection.

Released February 2007.
