For a time Stewdio faced the East River in New York City, just north of the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. On several occasions we were audience to a swarming of emergency lights—helicopters, boats, ambulances—rescue teams hastily assembled to recover those who attempted suicide from these landmarks; the East River Jumpers. Options is a small collection of suicidal vignettes realized through an unlikely tool: a browser’s default scroll bars. Putting a spin of dark humor on the situation disarmed it a bit; allowed us to carry on with the projects at hand.
