Marburg Virus Disease is an infectious, hemorrhagic fever that is transmitted from a reservoir host, the fruit bat Rousettus aegyptiacus, to people. Transmission is typically through direct contact with body fluids (blood, saliva, sweat, feces, vomit, amniotic fluid and semen) or objects/materials infected with these fluids.
